what's in a name

today, i met a cat named rover.

i think if i had a cat, i too would name it rover -- or killer -- or butch

would that be stealing?

if i had a dog, i do not think i would name it fluffy or fifi for fear of emasculating the poor dear.

i have a friend with a rabbit named hopper -- now, that's just silly.
