I have a real problem with slogan churches. Maybe it’s their problem but they are too stupid or entrenched in their slogans to realize the problem!!

"ch__ch what’s missing? UR"
"God answers knee mail"
"Think it’s hot? Hell is hotter"
"Best exercise program – walk with the Lord"

When I see a church, all I want to know is MAYBE the pastor’s name, and DEFINITLY the service times. The best way to run me away from a service is by having one of these stupid slogans on the marquee.

See, in my thinking, if a church is so interested in finding the "cutesy" billboard saying, they don’t have anything interesting or important to say to me – So why should I visit? I’m expecting whatever’s going on between the walls to be as cold and stupid as the first thing I see.

Do the people who decide upon the letter placement really think it through? Often I wonder if they are interested in going out to Samaria and the entire world to spread the Word because AS a Christian, many times the Billboards offend me! I can only imagine what the non-Christian or seeker is thinking when they come upon this crap.

Just thinking out loud.
