Kitty update:

My friend who works for a pet rescue agency took the gray baby to work today but they could not take her for being over-run with strays and other "placed" animals. They said it's a tradition to be up and over capacity after the holidays when people began to get the stark realization that the cute fluffy little animals they saw in the picture/store window/movie/ect...need care.

So I’m still mad at people today!

Anyway, the little one went back to my friend's house. We spent the evening trying to find her a home with sympathetic friends but they too are up to capacity.

The friend who has her right now has 3 elderly cats, two of which require insulin shots twice a day. So she's up to her neck in cat care without taking on a kitten and all her little cute & sometimes annoying kitty traits.

A friend of ours with 2 cats (and travels a lot) may take care of the kitten's initial vet bills and the pet fee my apartment complex charges -- he will let us know in a couple of days if that's really an option.

It also appears that the kitten is in heat. Hoping she didn't meet someone to take care of her...ummmm...needs before we were able to get her. We are thinking the owners (who didn’t get her fixed) were not too happy with a kittenish kitten in heat and instead of taking her to a vet, tossed her out.

So, I’m still not happy with stupid people today!

I'm so glad we were able to grab her when we did. It's been tit-cold the past two days and raining. I think she's happy she's not in the elements too.

...I really don't like dumb-assed people that much today.
